Full Description
Known as the "rice bowl of Selangor", Sekinchan is a small coastal town about 1.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur where bright green (or golden, depending on the season) paddy fields stretch out toward the Straits of Malacca. It's one of the most photographed rural spots in the Klang Valley — a favourite for its farm murals, windmill-style irrigation towers and laid-back kampung pace, a world away from the city.
After exploring the paddy fields and the town's fishing village, the day continues with a boat ride out to Sekinchan's famous Sky Mirror — a shallow sandbank that surfaces at low tide, turning into a giant natural mirror that reflects the sky and clouds. It's a tide-dependent excursion, best a few days either side of the new or full moon, so your guide will confirm the best timing and boat departure slot for the day of your visit.
Itinerary
- 07:45–08:15am Standby for pickup
- Journey from Kuala Lumpur to Sekinchan, Selangor (1.5 hours approx.)
- Walk through the paddy fields and photo stop at Sekinchan's farm murals and windmill towers
- Visit the old fishing jetty and fishing village
- Lunch at a local seafood restaurant in Sekinchan (drinks not included)
- Transfer to the jetty for the Sky Mirror boat departure (subject to tide timing)
- Boat ride out to the Sky Mirror sandbank
- Free time to walk and take photos on the sandbank
- Boat ride back to the jetty
- Head back to Kuala Lumpur
- 19:00hrs/later drop off at the same locations where pick-ups occurred (depending on traffic and tide conditions)

About the Sky Mirror
The Sky Mirror is a natural sandbank, not a fixed attraction — the boat departure time and even whether the trip runs at all depends on the tide table for the day. Your guide will confirm the best window once your date is booked. Bring a change of clothes and footwear you don't mind getting wet.
